Largest "Anna Nicole Smith" Drag Queen Open Cast Call. Hosted
by Genesis Films / Wasabi Tuna Productions, the cast call
is being staged in an effort to fill two supporting roles
in the independent comedy Wasabi Tuna. Headed by actress Anna
Nicole Smith, the call is hoping to attract submissions from
around the country, as chances are, the lucky actor will be
working with Smith in the film!
Casting
will take place Tuesday, February 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00
p.m. at The Abbey, located at 692 N. Robertson Blvd. in West
Hollywood. To schedule appointments, call casting director

Spicy Anna."
Wasabi
Tuna, described as a "hip hop, techno, punk, mosh pit tale,"
is written and produced by the film's female lead, comedic
actress Celia Fox, out of her company, Genesis Films and by
Lee Friedlander (director, "The Ten Rules" and producer of
"Fish Don't Blink") who will also direct. Scheduled to begin
production on March 8 in Los Angeles, Wasabi Tuna is being
cast by Lindsay Chag.
The
film's multi-cultural ensemble cast includes Antonio Sabato,
Jr. ("The Big Hit"), Jason London ("Out Cold"), Tim Meadows
("Saturday Night Live"), Barney Cheng ("Hollywood Ending")
Guillermo Diaz ("200 Cigarettes"), and Christian Keiber ("For
Da Love of Money." Alex Arquette ("The Wedding Singer") will

Wasabi
Tuna, tells the story of five friends in Los Angeles whose
annual tradition of joining the zany West Hollywood Halloween
Parade in outrageous-themed costumes has become local legend.
However, this year, as they prepare their costumes, all goes
wrong. A single case of mistaken identity turns their gentle
lifestyle and harmless pre-party atmosphere into a diabolically
hilarious world of vengeful gang bangers, surveillance teams,
police chases, shootouts, drug-lords, a team of Anna Nicole
Smith drag queens, Anna Nicole Smith and yes her dog, "Sugar
Pie."
"The
City of West Hollywood is very proud to proclaim February
18, 2003, Anna Nicole Smith Day, in concurrence with the casting
call for the upcoming film, Wasabi Tuna," asserts Steve Martin,
Mayor Pro Tempore.
Adds Fox;
"We are bringing film making back to its roots, depicting
the true diversity of our multi-cultural society. Genesis
Films applauds the City of West Hollywood for their overwhelming
support. We are looking forward to February 18, 2003, "Anna
Nicole Smith Day", to be one filled with fun and excitement!
