In 1991 - with a record collection the size of a two-car garage, COOLWHIP decided it was time to pursue music the way he had pursued education and skateboarding. While his brother DJed a Rave in Downtown Los Angeles, COOLWHIP memorialized the evening by grabbing a record and begun spinning, never looking back since! Ironically, since his introduction to professional DJing, he has gone on to graduate from the University of California - Irvine with a BS in the Biological Sciences, California State University - Dominguez Hills with a masters and Southern California College of Optometry with a doctorate degree in Optometry.

Referred to as a Hollywood legend by his peers and a favorite among many club goers, COOLWHIP has a reputation as a DJ's DJ. He has played alongside the world's finest DJ talents, sharing the stage with Mixmaster Mike, Q-Bert, Xecutioners (Roc Raida), Grandmaster Flash, the Beat Junkies, Z-Trip, Mark Ronson and DJ AM.
