JEFF HODGE PRESENTS
“AMBASSADORS OF COMEDY” SHOW
ONE NATION UNDER A COMEDIC GROOVE

America’s Funniest International Comedians
to Convene at
United Nations Comedy Spot

Comedian Jeff Hodge, aka Mr. Jamaica has a wonderful solution to the current day dilemma of world turbulence and upheaval. It’s Comedy! Long recognized for its healing powers, Hodge has harnessed the energy of comedy and created a wonderful concept show he labels the Ambassadors of Comedy www.ambassadorsofcomedy.com, via his company, Yeah Mon Entertainment. Featuring a line up of some of America’s funniest international comedians, the Ambassadors of Comedy show is a hilarious notion of “one nation under a comedic groove.”

Comedians representing countries from around the world, including India, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, Cuba and Asia, will convene for an evening of goodwill and humorous diplomacy every weekend starting Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the United Nations Comedy Spot inside the San Gennaro Café in Culver City, CA. The San Gennaro Café is located at 9543 Culver City Blvd. Show times are Friday at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Admission is $10.00. In addition to universally rocking funny bones, the Ambassadors of Comedy hope to spread a message of tolerance and acceptance for the New Year! For reservations, call (310) 495-2005.

Hodge, a native of the Virgin Islands, and a recent transplant from Texas, has been touring his Ambassadors of Comedy Show for the last several years on college campuses and comedy venues throughout the states. A former writer for the Keenen Ivory Wayans Show, Arsenio Hall, George Lopez and the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Hodge has had roles in “Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles” and “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.” He has also authored several successful humor books on driving, including 101+ Ways to Get Out of a Traffic Ticket.

“Trying to turn Hollywood on to a new concept has not been the easiest task,” offers Hodge. “But with America’s population becoming so diverse, people are looking for something different, and the Ambassadors of Comedy have something for everyone!”

Joining Hodge (Mr. Jamaica) on stage will be comedians who have appeared on The Tonight Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central, Comic View and Conan O’Brien. Performers will include Gerry Bendnob- Mr. Bangladesh; Edwin San Juan-Mr. Philippines; Danny Mc Masters-Mr. Australia; Ron Mcgehee –Mr. Korea; Kira Soltanovich- Ms. Russia; and Maz Jabroni – Mr. Iran; and Kathy Westfield – Ms. USA.

From food to fashion, cultural differences will be lampooned in a wide variety of dialects and from various points of views. As Hodge recollects, “Back in Texas, you’d go out to eat and somebody would say to get the fried cheese steak. I’m thinking, ‘How do you fry a big chunk of cheese?”

“The wonderful thing about our shows,” reveals Hodge, “is that each comedian brings a different flavor to the stage. I’ve never been to Bangladesh, or Australia or Russia, but after one of our shows, I feel like I’ve traveled the globe, even though I’ve never left my seat!”
