A product of the Civil Rights era, James E. White, Jr. is an accomplished film and music producer.  His vision and passion has carried him from his birthplace in Memphis, TN to Detroit, MI to his current home base in Los Angeles, CA accomplishing a number of creative feats in between, including recording artist, television host and music producer to name a few. 
 
So why a book of poetry about the plight of the Jewish community from the first-time author?  White's answer is simple.  Humanity.  "With February being the month celebrating Black History, I felt what better time to release a book documenting another race's similar plight of dehumanization, discrimination and racism.  The atrocities experienced by the Jewish people are the bonds which unite us all as One people.  In researching and detailing their plight, my heart and soul opened to an even greater degree.  It was a liberating experience as I came to the realization that if one man suffers, we all suffer," expresses White.
 
Shoah Never Again is a touching tribute reminding us all about the threat of terrorism in our daily lives.  As White reminds us, " From the attempted extermination of the American Indians to the execution of Armenian Christians in Muslim Turkey to the genocide of African people in Rwanda,  the slaughtering of whole peoples has represented hatred, greed, and indifference to humankind.  When you hear of war-torn countries, it's easy to become complacent and insensitive until it happens in your own backyard."
 
A sequential documentation highlighted with poetry, Shoah Never Again details the horrors of the Holocaust in detailed fashion, specifying accounts, recollections from friends and historical occurrences.  Prose passages are accompanied by poetry, creating images that assault and haunt the senses with remorse.
 
White visited Israel twice upon the book's completion to authenticate his final delivery.  As part of his first visit he presented the book to and lectured before students at Tel Aviv University and also attended the 60th anniversary celebration of Israel.  During the second visit he attended the unveiling of the famous Bridge of Strings, at the gateway of Jerusalem. White wrote a song and produced a music video commemorating the historic unveiling which can be viewed at www.JWE.com . 
 
Both visits left him moved beyond belief.  Not only did the students at Tel Aviv embrace him, but the Jewish community lauded his efforts as well.  Yoel Hasson, from the Prime Minister's Office in Israel and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, from the Simon Wiesenthal Center have acknowledged White's effort with positive commentary about the book.  White was also befriended by famed Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel while visiting Israel.
 
"Visiting Israel was one of the most momentous occasions in my life. I truly learned and experienced that we are our brothers keepers," White reveals.
