Pagan Also Stars in New Movie Release Gridiron Gang!
Michael J. Pagan has been a heart throb waiting to happen since he was 12 and played Denzel Washington's nephew in Fallen. Audiences knew it was only a matter of time when he reappeared on the big screen as the son of Angela Bassett in How Stella Got Her Groove Back ! Then the small screen embraced him in the original USA Network film, "Killers in the House", with Mario Van Peebles and Holly Robinson Peete and his own Disney Channel movie, Up Up and Away with Robert Townsend and Sherman Hemsley.
Michael was the first teen ever to appear in the ALAYE` Calendar, the number one African American calendar featuring handsome African American celebrities and sports figures. He was also a guest star on NBC's "Hang Time" television show and his "No Smoking" episode won the industry's prestigious Prism award. Young Michael was also awarded the KJLH/Disneyland "Proven Achievers Award".
Now at the ripe old age of 21, Michael is poised to set hearts afire! The former child star is now a handsome young man who has racked up an impressive list of athletic and acting accomplishments as a teenager and is prominently positioned to take it all to the next level as a young adult.
Michael has been blessed to grace the small screen in several performances including an episode of the FX Channel's hottest show last season, "The Shield," and UPN's "One on One" with Kyla Pratt, Ray J and Brandy.
Michael also appears in the major motion film, See No Evil with super WWE Wrestler Kane in May, and the recently released Gridiron Gang with hunky super star The Rock and MTV's "Pimp My Ride" icon and rapper, Xzibit. Audiences may also recall him from as the sweet young spirit David in The Gospel and will get yet another opportunity to check him out in the upcoming movie, "Strong" directed by Ryan Little.
"I'm really excited about all my projects. I took some time off as a teen to pursue my athletic career, but now I'm back and fully committed to acting. My dad has always taught me to dream big and I can only hope to continue to be a role model to my peers," expresses Michael.
Since the age of five, Michael's natural athletic ability has allowed him to excel in several sports at the national level, including two National USA Track and Field Championship titles and ten national USA Track and Field medals. As starting point guard for Verbum Dei High School, he lead his high school basketball team to three consecutive CIF Championships in 2002,2003, and 2004, which earned him the prestigious John R Wooden Award, CIF 2004 Division IV High School Player of the Year and a Mc Donald's All American nomination.
