ACTRESS PAM GRIER AND SISTER / DESIGNER GINA GRIERCELEBRATE COMMUNITY AND FAMILY
WITH LAUNCH OF MELTINGPOTDESIGNS.COM

New Site Introduces Artistic Mix
of Gift Offerings for the Holidays and Beyond

From Foxy Brown to Jackie Brown, Pam Grier has impacted the public with her image, style and appeal. She is an actress that defines class, culture and sophistication. In a new venture alongside her sister, artist and designer, Gina Grier, Grier brings her personal taste for all things special to a different screen this time.

The Grier Design Group, LLC founded by Pam and Gina Grier, has launched MeltingPotDesigns.com, a cyberspace entry into a world of multi-cultural, artistically designed wares that run the gamut of Bogolan mud-dyed cloth journals, scrapbooks and photo albums. They also feature Asian silk bordered picture frames, hand-painted clay pots, holiday greeting cards, original paintings and giclee prints. Craft, color and care collide on the computer screen to create a gift-buying haven that will carry one through the holidays and far beyond!

“Living in Denver, Colorado,” explains Grier, ”I am simply bombarded with beauty. Nature and art greet me everyday. My sister and brother are both creative visionaries, and there is a strong artist community here. Melting Pot Designs was created on one level in an effort to provide a marketing and advertising alternative for this community of artists. Their art is showcased in a variety of mediums that will appeal to the gift buying public.”

Ten exceptional Colorado-based artisans are featured on the site, including Gina Grier, Rod Grier, Lucas Boyd, Dawn Boyd, James Dixon, Jess Dubois, Hermon Futrell, Dan Luna, Tadashi Hayakawa , Carrie McKenna, Tony Ortega, Peter Romanelli, and Susan Saarinen with many new artists to be launched next year. The first lines of products offered are greeting cards, journals, stationary, hand painted clay pots, original paintings and prints. Other products to be introduced in 2004 include ceramic dinnerware, paperware and new greeting and note card designs.

“Our selections are a warm expression of family, history and culture,” adds Gina Grier. “The products are a reflection of American heritage with a cultural twist. Each piece can be used for special occasions, holiday and everyday use. The designs are soulful and spiritually uplifting. And the best part is, you don’t have to travel the globe or leave your home to survey the selections.”

With Colorado as their launching pad, the Grier sisters plan to reach outward with MeltingPotDesigns.com and eventually showcase artists from around the country. They plan to open a store location in Denver, with a chain of locations to follow across the United States, highlighting artist’s work from around the various regions.

With the holiday season upon us, Pam and Gina Grier’s MeltingPotDesigns.com might just prove to be the best gift of all!
