PLAYBOY
ENTERTAINMENT CONTINUES TO EXCITE
URBAN AUDIENCES WITH DIVERSE PROGRAMMING
Adult entertainment
has always been a part of urban culture. Yet the merging
of hip hop and the adult entertainment community has recently
garnered the genre increased visibility and more mainstream
acceptability. To that end, Playboy Entertainment has embraced
urban audiences with a diverse range of programming that
has included celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Trina,
Jadakiss and Lil’ Jon and the Eastside Boyz to name
just a few.
“Playboy
Entertainment continues to recognize a commitment to its
urban viewership with programming that incorporates elements
of hip hop as well as urban culture at large. Original hip
hop programming such at “Buckwild,” “”100
Proof” “5 Deadly Videos,” and “Queen
of Clubs” remain in rotation, while shows such as
“Night Calls 411,” “Lex in the City,”
“The Extreme Truth” and “7 Lives Xposed”
continue with fresh new shows that continue to expand the
borders of reality television.” cites Michael Sprouse,
Senior VP Marketing, Playboy Entertainment Group.
While “Buckwild,”
“100 Proof,” “5 Deadly Videos,”
and “Queen of Clubs” take hip hop head on with
music, videos and celebrity appearances, bombshell Crystal
Knight provides a hypnotic urban edge as the host of “Night
Calls 411,” a show that engages viewers in live interactive
conversation. “Night Calls 411” airs the second
Friday of each month at 9:00 p.m./ET with frequent rebroadcast
thereafter.
“Lex in
the City,” helmed by adult superstar Lexington Steele,
and his co-host, the engaging Vanessa Blue, is a talk show
format that provides an urban take on the adult video and
music scene.
“The Extreme Truth” brings to light what lies
beneath the conscious mind. Notable “hip-notist”
and Las Vegas headliner Justin Tranz delves into the sexual
and emotional lives of real couples in this provocative
exploration of the subconscious. “Extreme Truth”
airs on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/11:00 p.m. PT.
“7 Lives
Xposed” recently began season four. The series monitors
the sexploits of seven roommates as they compete for a $100,000
prize. Trivia buffs might take note that rising star and
actor, Texas Battle (“Coach Carter”) first appeared
in season one of this series. “7 Lives Exposed”
airs Saturdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/10:00 p.m. PT.
