WILL THE
REAL ANNA NICOLE SMITH PLEASE STAND UP ????
West
Hollywood, CA - Tuesday, February 18, 2003 was no less than
"Anna Nicole Smith Day" as Anna Nicole Smith herself, and
over two dozen drag queens converged upon the city of West
Hollywood, CA at the Abbey Restaurant, responding to the open
cast call from Genesis Films for Anna Nicole Drag Queen look-alikes
!
Celia
Fox, writer/ producer/ actress and president of Genesis Films,
staged the open cast call in an effort to complete casting
for her independent production, Wasabi Tuna, a movie she describes
as a "hip hop, techno, punk, mosh pit tale" of five friends
and their journey to the annual West Hollywood Halloween Parade.
In
her support, the City of West Hollwood officially declared
the date, "Anna Nicole Smith Day." And states the Mayor Pro
Tempore of West Hollywood, Steve Martin, "Besides that, where
else but in West Hollywood could Ms. Smith and 50 drag queens
fit right in?"
Production
for "Wasabi Tuna" is scheduled to begin on March 8. The film's
multi-cultural ensemble cast includes Antonio Sabato, Jr.
("The Big Hit"), Jason London ("Out Cold"), Tim Meadows (
"Saturday Night Live'), Barney Cheng ( "Hollywood Ending"),
Guillermo Diaz ("200 Cigarettes") and Christian Keiber ("For
Da Love of Money"). Alex Arquette ("The Wedding Singer") will
play the role of drag queen, "Champagne Anna" and Anna Nicole
Smith is cast as herself.
From
gangsta' rappers to celebrities to special events, Jazzmyne
has publicized a wide range of projects and personalities.
Clients include the Tonight Show's bandleader, Kevin Eubanks;
comedian, A.J. Jamal; child actor Michael Pagan from "How
Stella Got Her Groove Back" and comedian J. Anthony Brown,
co-host of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show
just to name a few.
