ANGELO ELLERBEE’S DOUBLE XXPOSURE AGENCY IS

CHARM SCHOOL FOR HIP HOP STARS

New York Based Agency Celebrates 15 Successful Years –Addresses the Question and Provides Solution to:

Why are So Many Hip Hop Artists in Trouble with the Law?

Hip hop music is a double edged sword.  From attacks that charge its lyrical content for glorifying gratuitous violence, denigrating women and promoting drug use, to the fanatical religious pronouncement of  ‘devil music,’ the art form has managed to thrive against all the odds. The highly publicized East coast/West coast rivalry, the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. and the legal battles of Sean “Puffy” Combs have contributed heavily to its overall negative perception. Yet the music continues to dominate the not only the charts, but also mainstream culture.

Enter Angelo Ellerbee, CEO/President of Double Xxposure in New York. Often heralded as the Henry Higgins of Hip Hop, Angelo Ellerbee, through his Double XXposure Agency has been refining the face of hip hop.  Often referred to as a “charm school for rappers,” Double XXposure not only publicizes hip hop’s hottest, but provides sessions in etiquette, social interaction, travel and tourism, media training, industry terminology, and choreography.   A former fashion designer, model, actor and dancer, turned mega-publicist, Ellerbee has been profiled for his efforts in GQ, the New York Times, VIBE, Touch, and CNN. An astute image maker who has worked hard to induce ‘Poise ‘N the Hood’, Angelo has refined the likes of Mary J. Blige, Patra, Shabba Ranks, Ginuwine, Eve and even hip hop’s baddest, DMX.

Celebrating 15 years now, Ellerbee has created a unique niche and demand for his services.  “Labels and management are often so busy focusing on the bottom line, the record sales, and the chart position, that the personal and professional development of the artist is left to chance,” cites Ellerbee.  “Someone has to take the time to prepare these young people, to help them through their transition from anonymity to stardom.  We can talk about the problems all day, but what are the solutions?”

While media continues to dish the dirt on the latest rap star, Ellerbee and his Double Xxposure agency remain steadfast at work.  As Ellerbee states it best, “Our work is not just about image, its about lives.”

Angelo Ellerbee will serve as one of the Honorary Host at “A Celebration of Music, Video and Hip Hop” to be held in  Los Angeles on the eve of the Annual Source Music Awards.  The affair will take place on the studio lot of Encore Video, Monday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Ellerbee will be in Los Angeles August 14 through to the Source Awards event.  He is available for interview.  (Full Press Kit available upon request.)
