DR. BOOGIE REIGNS AS

THE GHETTO FAB IMAGING EXPERT TO THE HIP HOP STARS

You may not have heard of the “Boogie” man, but you have definitely seen his work!  His creative flair has been the secret ingredient behind more than a few of the entertainment world’s hottest personalities.  The “ghetto fab” image expert has a waiting list as long as his client list.  Case in point, he first styled supermodel Kimora Lee’s hair three years ago.  The reigning queen of the Def Jam Empire has let no one touch her locks, or her look since.

When Boogie was first called to work on Eve, the diva of the Ruff Ryder crew was still signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment.  “I remember cutting her hair very, very short and coloring it platinum blond.  Eve hated it and would not leave her house for days!” recalls Boogie.  “Now that look is not only a very defined part of her trademark image, but so are rhinestones I decorated her paw tattoos with,” he adds.

25 year old Uarian Langerston, best known to those in the know as “Boogie,” has a keen eye for fashion, flair and passion.  A hair stylist by trade, his notorious visions have transformed him into one of hip hop’s hottest imaging commodities. His clients include Kimora Lee Simmons, (wife of hip hop mogul Russell Simmons), Foxy Brown, Bill Bellamy, Isaac Hayes, Angie Martinez, J. Anthony Brown, Morris Day, LisaRay and even Divorce Court’s Judge Mablean Ephriam.  A master at developing, creating and enhancing images, his illusions have appeared on the pages of Elle, Allure, Vibe, Rap Pages, Today’s Black Woman, Today’s Black Man, Spin and Hustler Magazine.

The age-old attitude of “image is everything” takes on reverent meaning under Boogie’s expressive domain.  “You may not realize it, but something as simple as a hairdo can change someone’s life,” explains Boogie.  “Therefore, I put detailed attention and tremendous energy into my work.  What I do is pull the entire look together, imaging from head to toe.  That can include everything from set design, to lighting to wardrobe.  The end result is to give the individual and the viewer, something they can both feel.”

With the launch of his new company, Guest List Productions, the image doctor is further defining the fine art of image making.   His web site, www.boogiesecrets.com is a peep into the world of “before” and “after” the Boogie man hits.  His calendar creation, Male Millennium Madness 2001 is in the works, as well as an instructional haircare video.

“I tap into the essence of one’s inner beauty and bring it to the surface.  The bottom line being,” explains Boogie, “when you look good you feel good, and when does it get any better than that?”
