DRASTIC SAYS "NO MORE" ON KHALIFA RECORDS!

From the east coast to the west coast, the dirty south to the rugged barrios of the north, rap has reigned as the voice of a generation. From cold-blooded tales detailing raw pimp game to fantastic rhyming visuals of ghetto riches, rap has been the outlet, the voice, the vehicle, and the saving ground. Rap music, in its turbulent splendor, has been the light at the end of the tunnel for many a troubled youth. Just ask DRASTIC, Los Angeles's latest hip hop prodigy to throw his flow into the ring. It was rap music that nurtured him throughout his adolescence. Influenced by the likes of Tupac, Ice Cube, Mack 10 and Snoop, Drastic relied on these urban offerings to feed his soul. "No More," the sneak preview single from his debut album, "Drastic Measures" on Khalifa Records is the result of years of practice and preparation. Base heavy, with enough funk in the trunk to rock two houses, "No More" is a feel good anthem, tributing the art of partyin'. "Rap has always been my escape. I was raised with my grandparents in a house with 20 other people. I would go back and forth to my mother's house, but it was rap that kept me strong. With it, I could create anything and be anything," reveals DRASTIC. "I created my first rap when I was ten, for my grandmother. I would rap about staying in school, to please her." It was an introduction to LeMorris, Tupac's producer, which put DRASTIC seriously on his path. Hangin' out in the studio with LeMorris, producer Mo Z and Tupac's group, The Outlaws, impacted DRASTIC in a real way. "I read a lot of books, about history, science, math, religion and politics. The more I read, the more I was motivated to write songs and relay messages through my writings," cites DRASTIC. Sharing his vision through his rhyme, DRASTIC is more that just another rapper. His voice, his rhythm, and his flow ring true to the core. If "No More" is any indication, DRASTIC is poised to impact the rap scene in a drastic way!
