SAX MAN, PANTHER, ADDS CREDITS TO HIS RESUME:

JOINS RADIOSCOPE AS NEW ASSOCIATE PRODUCER/

PENS THEIR NEW THEME SONG

The explosively powerful saxophonist/ composer/producer, Panther (a.k.a. Mark Felton) is expanding his musical horizons.   The Chicago native, known for his smooth contemporary jazz and R&B sax style, has joined urban radio legend Lee Bailey’s production staff for the internationally syndicated radio broadcast, Radioscope, as Associate Producer.  In addition, he has penned the show’s new theme song, the previous version having run for the past seven consecutive years!  Radioscope: the Entertainment Magazine of the Air, first premiered in 1983 and offers daily and weekend editions of the hottest news and insight on urban entertainment.

“Our staff has always boasted the industry’s top writers, voice talent and production personnel.  Panther is a welcome addition to our company.  His vast musical background and talent will add dimensions to our programming.  In fact, the new theme song, along with his music contributions to our format, have already provided the show an audio facelift of sorts,” offers Lee Bailey.

Panther has followed a musical path since the age of eleven.  Inspired by the likes of sax pioneer, Grover Washington Jr., Panther has performed not only around the world, but also with artists such as Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, Kenny G, and Taj Majal.  In addition to touring, he currently performs as part of Della Reese’s band and is working on a new gospel album entitled “Gospel Stroll.”  His first CD, “On The Prowl,” a fusion of funky grooves with a smooth melodic flavor, was recorded on his own label, Mion Records.  Currently residing in Los Angeles, Panther can be contacted via his web site Panthersjam.com.

Radioscope:  The Entertainment Magazine of the Air, reaches more than 400 U.S. markets and over 70 countries via the Armed Forces Radio Network & Voice of America’s V.O.A. Express.
