SAX MAN, PANTHER PRESENTS 1ST ANNUAL JAM CONCERT

BILLY PRESTON HIGHLIGHTS BENEFIT

TO SUPPORT WORLD LITERACY CRUSADE

Sexy sax man, Panther, (a.k.a. Mark Felton) is known for the way he prowls the stage with his saxophone.  His smooth performances have graced stages around the world.  On Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at 8:00 p.m. Los Angelenos will have the opportunity to bear witness to his grace and style at the 1st Annual Panther’s Jam Benefit Concert at the Celebrity Centre International Garden Pavillion Theatre.  Presented by Mion Innerprizes Inc., the evening will be a musical masterpiece, featuring legendary entertainer, Billy Preston, the high couture designs of Sterling Capricio and hosted by radio veteran, EUR/Radioscope’s, Lee Bailey.  The evening will benefit The World Literacy Crusade.  The Celebrity Centre is located at 5930 Franklin Avenue in Hollywood.   For ticket information call (323) 692-0113.

Upon receiving word that his mentor, Grover Washington Jr. has passed away, Panther was jolted into a new reality.  Recalling the words of his dear friend, and motivator, Les Brown, “Do what you can, where you are, with what you have,” Panther decided to do just that.

“I realized that we are all given an undetermined amount of time and that it is up to us to utilize our time accordingly.  I decided right then and there that I wasn’t going to waste another second not using the gifts that God has given me.  So Panther’s Jam Benefit Concert was born!” cites Panther.   “God gave me breath and a horn to blow and I intend to use this instrument to touch as many lives as I can.”

Panther’s Jam Benefit Concert will feature new songs from his upcoming studio album, “The Gemini” as well as songs from his debut project, “On the Prowl.”  With an all-star band of musicians and vocalists, the stage show will incorporate not only song, but dance and fashion.   In addition, the evening doubles as a birthday celebration for Panther.

Proceeds from the Jam will benefit The World Literacy Crusade.   The World Literacy Crusade promotes adult, family and workplace literacy efforts through networking, information sharing, capacity building and advocating in order to enhance the quality of life and standard of living in our community.
