Teen Star Leads in Dr. Doolittle 2 - Opens June 22 Teen starlet, Raven-Symone returns in Doctor Dolittle 2, the sequel to the 20th Century Fox, 1998 blockbuster comedy starring Eddie Murphy. Back again as Dolittle's rebellious daughter 'Charisse', Raven's on screen role holds a big secret for movie-going audiences this time around! Not unlike her own career however, Raven continues to surprise us with her own real life feats. Now a 15-year veteran in the entertainment business, Raven's 15 month- old entry in the field impacted us early on. Not your average child star, she has blossomed into a delightful young lady. Loved and recognized internationally as the adorable Olivia from the long running NBC hit, "The Cosby Show" and as Nicole from the successful ABC sitcom, "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper," Raven has endured and endeared. She has also just recently completed a pilot for Disney entitled "Absolutely Psychic." With a steady succession of television credits and movie roles, Raven's star continues to rise. The Atlanta native is also a major recording artist. MCA Records signed her to her first recording deal at the tender age of five, spawning the hit single, "That's What Little Girls Are Made Of." Her second album, Undeniable, released just a few years ago, was distributed on her own Rayblaize Records label. Raven toured with N'Sync in support of the project. Reaching beyond the boundaries of screen and stage, Raven uses her celebrity status to address issues of concern to children. She has served as the Ambassador for General Colin Powell's "Children's First" program, and she speaks on behalf of the National Safe Kids Campaign, a program encouraging home safety for families. A season entertainer and veteran performer, Raven-Symone is still very much a normal kid. Her hobbies include jet skiing, cooking and painting. With the release of Dr. Doolittle 2 however, audiences will once again be reminded that Raven-Symone is one of America's most popular personalities. |
