TRACY DANIELLE ROBINSON IS
MUSIC VIDEO’S URBAN WARRIOR (Danielle Marks Directorial
Debut with New Mo Thugs Video) Tracy Danielle Robinson covered a lot of territory when she headed
her former company, Look Hear Sound & Vision. The production house produced the industry’s hottest music videos,
as well as commercials, films, infomercials, television credits and
events. As one of the rap world’s
top female video producers, Danielle can boast working with the likes
of hip hop’s greatest, including Tupac, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Queen
Latifah. Well that was then and this is
now. Danielle has grown from
her wealth of experiences and is the better for it.
A reflection of that growth is evident not only in her name change
(she’s using her middle name Danielle now, and not Robinson) but also
in her new company, Urban Warrior Films. Urban
Warrior Films is taking over where Look Hear Productions left off, creating
stimulating visual images for the new millenium. To highlight the growth factor,
Danielle marks her directorial debut with Mo Thugs hot new single, “Did
He Really Wanna”, already in heavy rotation on MTV, BET and The Box. New career highlights include having traveled
to Hawaii to complete five videos for Sumo wrestler turned rap artist,
Konishiki, and she’s busy preparing to direct an independent feature
starring Layzie Bone, entitled, “Ballin’”.
Her production staff boasts a new roster of directors and producers
who are also impacting the industry with their ocular skills. “Music video production and hip
hop is such a male dominated scene.
I really cut my teeth with the work I did with Ice Cube and then
with Tupac and Death Row Records. The
experiences served to make me stronger for sure.
I have a sense of longevity and even power, now, which is conveyed
in my style of directing. With
literally hundreds of productions under my belt, I know what I’m doing,
and no one can take that away from me.
I am extremely excited about my direction with Urban Warrior
Films. This is a new beginning!”
Danielle remarks. Urban Warrior Film’s staff roster
includes Gobi Nejad, the director behind many of Tupac’s most legendary
videos, including “America’s Most Wanted.” Nejad’s current work includes
directing videos for the Comrads, MC Eight, Mack 10 and Rick James. Director J. Jesses Smith, also under
the UWF banner, has directed for Killah Priest, Snoop Dogg, C-Murder
and Epic Records’ recording artist Strings.
Producers on staff include Marlon Parry and Mark Richardson. Tracy, always one to wear numerous hats, continues
to produce as well. In addition,
the company lists Cameo, Digital Underground, B’Legit and new comer
Keplyn as clients they have either directed and/or produced. Tracy Danielle is a woman filled
with vision and passion. Her
productions continue to stimulate our imaginations, transporting our
minds to worlds our bodies wish to follow.
We can only look forward to more incredible accomplishments as
this Urban Warrior continues to lead our visual way.
