Founder and Chairman Ralph Tashjian and CEO Tod Turner have announced the appointment of seasoned music executive J.C. Montes as Executive Vice President, Global Marketing & Strategic Partnerships.
With more than twenty years of experience spanning Mexico, Latin America, and the U.S. Latin markets, Montes brings a powerful combination of commercial strategy, marketing leadership, and digital innovation to Intercept Music. In his new role, he will lead global marketing initiatives, forge high-impact purposeful partnerships, and develop scalable approaches that connect artists, audiences, and platforms—further positioning Intercept Music as a premier destination for independent artists and labels worldwide.

At Millicom, he introduced the first bundled music service in Latin America in partnership with Deezer, generating multi-million-dollar revenue impact across the region.

He also co-founded WKMX Records, a regional Mexican label, overseeing label operations, DSP partnerships, and artist development, including the breakout success of Los Esquivel, a popular Mexican duo brother group.
